We announced earlier this month on the collaboration with Aaspirations Publishing to plant 5,000 trees for their new children's book ‘Where the Buttercups Grow’.

Beautifully written by Shelley Meyer and vividly illustrated by her daughter Tessa Meyer, this inspiring and powerful story will find a spot on every child's list of favorites, especially when they can carry the story forward in their own lives and plant their very own buttercups. Launch party of "Earth in the Hot Seat" at Hooray for Books!

What are you doing on March 29? If you're anywhere near Old Alexandria, VA (just 20 minutes by the metro from Washington DC), you are welcome to visit a great signing event at Hooray for Books!

Hooray for Books! is a very special children's bookstore in Old Alexandria, VA. They're also taking part in our bookstores program and offer their customers to plant trees with us for the books they purchase at the store. And on March 29 they will host a launch party from 3-5 p.m. for award-winning author Marfé Ferguson Delano's new book, Earth In The Hot Seat: Bulletins from a Warming World.

Launch party of 'The White Road' this Saturday in Jerusalem

Last month we updated you on the launch of Tania Hershman's first book, The White Road and other Stories, which is published by UK's renowned Salt Publishing. This great collection of short stories is going green with us and we're planting a tree for every copy printed.

And no book launch is completed without a launch party, so we're happy to update you that Tania is having a launch party this Saturday in Jerusalem!

Craft Inc. book launch party

Do you live in the San Francisco area? if you do, check out Craft Inc. launch party on Tuesday. If you don't, maybe you should :-)

I have heard about the party from our good friend Victoria E, and here are the details from the blog of the author Meg Maeto Ilasco:

The book launch party for Craft Inc. will be hosted by the wonderful ladies of Rare Device.

As it says above, we'll be raffling off a TON of prizes. Literally, 2,000 pounds of Chronicle Books craft titles and goods donated by local indie businesses and the profilees featured in the book.
