The new book Ligeia/Bryndt has joined the 100 trees Project!

If you like books about journeys, both inner and outer ones, you should take a look in the new book Ligeia/Bryndt by Silas Jackson and Juilan Traas, which follows the inner and outer journeys of two unlikely companions, who are bound to each other by an immutable destiny they cannot understand.

We're also happy to update you that this great book
has just joined the "100 Trees Project"!

This joint program was launched by Infinity Publishing, a leading self-publishing company together with Eco-Libris to promote environmental sustainability among its authors. Through the program, authors that publish with Infinity are able to plant 100 trees for the title they publish. These authors also have the option to add a special "100 trees planted for this book" logo to their book's design, as a way to showcase their commitment to environmental sustainability.

What's this book is about? Ligeia/Bryndt follows the inner and outer journeys of two unlikely companions, who are bound to each other by an immutable destiny they cannot understand. One, an elfin priestess, has suffered unspeakable atrocities at the hands of humanity. Her heart torn asunder by profound inner conflict, Ligeia seeks to balance the peaceful ideals of her clement, harmless teachers against the seething rage which fills her. The other, a human warrior, has been exiled from his own land. He bitterly regrets the things he has done, yet sees no way to be redeemed.

About the authors:
Silas D. L. Jackson - Silas D. L. Jackson lives in the quaint New England home he was born in, beside a tranquil lake. He derives most of his inspiration from his study of Yoga, where he contorts his body just so, in a room just super-heated enough, as to spark hallucinations about interesting characters and fantastical storylines.

Julian R. Traas - Julian R. Traas was born in France. Buffeted between continents throughout his formative years, he landed just north of Atlanta, Georgia. A trilingual college student trapped in the attempt to take life less than seriously, Julian’s true love is writing.

Last Male Born: Revenge by Roberto DiVincenzo is joining the "100 Trees Project"!

Have you have considered a revenge attack on an individual or a group? Well, Roberto DiVincenzo did. He is actually consumed with hatred for the South Philly mob for what they did to his family. He wants revenge and he gets it in the most unorthodox way. It's all part of his new book 'Last Male Born: Revenge', published by Infinity Publishing. And the news is that this great book has just joined the "100 Trees Project"!

The only cure for hatred is revenge. In this third installment of his trilogy, Robert DiVincenzo finally exacts his revenge on the South Philly mob. He concocts an ingenious plan that appeals to their intrinsic greed. He doesn’t need thugs or guns to bring then down. His unorthodox weapon of choice is the computer room of a bank run by a corrupt bank president. In this fast paced story, he plays on the mob mentality of distrust to settle the score for the wrongs inflicted on him and his family. Along the way he manages to make amends for other innocent victims whose lives were shattered by the mob and the bank president.

About the author:
Roberto DiVincenzo was a kid that grew up on the tough streets of south Philadelphia in the 1940’s and 50’s. Although the world was perhaps a more innocent place at that time, it was Philadelphia’s equivalent of “hells kitchen.” As a young boy Roberto excelled in football, basketball, baseball, drawing and his love of singing.

As he grew into a young adult the street took a shot him. Aside from south Philly girls, the lure of a fast buck through indoctrination with organized crime was perhaps one of the greatest temptations facing a young man in his shoes.

But somehow there were stronger principles in his make up that led him down a very different path than those of his “wise guy” contemporaries so abundant and over sensationalized. Although not many viable opportunities where available to him, Roberto made a self inspired endeavor to advance his education. He ended up on the cutting edge of something called “machine accounting” technology. This was the precursor to what we know today as modern computing.

During the Korean War Roberto was in the United State Marine Corps where his stamina, skills and intellect were challenged and put to thorough use. After the war Roberto along with his young wife founded and operated a business school. Their mission was teaching the intrinsic design and practical application of IBM equipment in the business world of the early 1960’s. This evolved into Computer Programming, System Analysis and his tenure as manager who developed ground breaking commercial computer systems for a corporate giant.

Roberto, still married to the same wonderful woman, has enjoyed sharing the parenting of four children, all of who are now adults with diverse careers. The children possess many of Roberto’s principled beliefs and practices as accomplished adults. In fact in some ways, Roberto reflects some old world principles himself. He believes in honesty, knowing his ancestry and social origins, close family ties and the ongoing education of his offspring and the family’s generations to come. After all, I should know, ... I’m his First Male Born.

Last Male Born: Revenge is available for sale on Infinity's website.

My Name is Grace by Lorraine Oman Hanover has joined the 100 trees project!

Don't you like to read about interesting life journeys? I sure do! So how about one from innocent to outcast, wartime Glasgow to Canada’s 1970s counterculture? Grace’s diary lives long after she is gone, and provides a roadmap to redemption for more than one troubled woman.

And this new book, '
My Name is Grace' by Lorraine Oman Hanover has just joined the "100 Trees Project"!

“Some people call me amazing Grace, and some people call me a dis-Grace.” When she slurs those words in a northern Alberta bar, Grace is worlds away from the girl who began a diary on the eve of World War II. Against the backdrop of a Scottish tenement community, her writings portray a journey from innocent to outcast — from devotion to family, to burning every bridge for a dissolute pilot. In 1971, runaway Jude Klein finds Grace’s diary. Unloved and debilitated by drugs, Jude will discover through Grace’s story a roadmap to her own redemption.

About the author:
A native of Scotland, Lorraine Oman Hanover emigrated first to Canada, then to the United States. Scotland would have receded into the mists of childhood memory, she says, if not for her mother’s tales of wartime Glasgow. In My Name is Grace, Lorraine set out to capture such a voice and explore how it could steady the spirit of a questing, troubled soul.

My Name is Grace is available for sale on Infinity's website.

Today we're happy to update you on a new book joining the program - Buffalo on the Ridge by Deanna Meyer, a fun and educational adventure book for young readers, which will help parents teach their children about animals and the environment. 100 trees will be planted for this full color book with Eco-Libris!

The Last Original Idea is joining the "100 Trees Project" of Infinity Publishing and Eco-Libris

Last June we told you about our new collaboration with Infinity Publishing, a leading self-publishing company. Infinity launched with Eco-Libris the "100 Trees Project,"a new program to promote environmental sustainability among its authors.

Through the program, authors that publish with Infinity will be able to plant 100 trees for the title they publish. These authors will also have the option to add a special "100 trees planted for this book" logo to their book's design, as a way to showcase their commitment to environmental sustainability.

Today we're happy to update you about one of the latest books that joined the program - The Last Original Idea by Alan K'necht and Geri Rockstein. 100 trees will be planted for this book with Eco-Libris and you can also find our logo on the back cover of the book (see photo below).

What's this book about? Here's a description from its website:

The Last Original Idea – A Cynics View of Internet Marketing is a light hearted look at the state of Internet marketing today and traces back each of the elements to its historical roots, clearly demonstrating that companies who understood the mistakes of the past were able to be profitable in the present. Others are a mere memory, lost in cyber-space.

"Wisdom is about context. The Last Original Idea is a chronicle of communication and commerce as seen through the lens of the Internet. It is a must-have reference book for marketing people - if only to get a handle on all of those allusions you've heard, but can't quite place. This book puts the whole Internet phenomenon into perspective, takes the Gee-Whiz right out of it and leaves you with a view point tempered by time and seasoned with history. Just the thing for those who are rightfully fearful of repeating history." - Jim Sterne, Founder of the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and the Web Analytics Association

About the authors: The Last Original Idea is the brain child of Alan K'necht who co-wrote it with Geri Rockstein. So after years of ideas floating through his head, K'necht with the help of Rockstein put his ideas to paper. The end product is this entertaining book.

"The Last Original Idea" as of October 16, 2010 is available (softcover) only from Buy Books On The Web. The authors anticipate it being available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Nobel by November 5, 2010. The ebook version should be available for most popular ereaders before the end of November.
