Tiny Cracker Zoo by Christopher Master is joining the 100 trees Project!

An amusing antholog
y of eight shamelessly true stories that peels back the flannel veil, Tiny Cracker Zoo by Christopher Master beckons readers to revel in the savory agony of Master’s existence amidst fanatics of fast cars, wild game, and a grouchy God. Such a profusion of personal information is seldom heard outside of a psychiatrist’s office.

Curious? Good! Because this is really a great a book, and not only that but it also has joined the "100 Trees Project"!

This joint program was launched by Infinity Publishing, a leading self-publishing company together with Eco-Libris to promote environmental sustainability among its authors. Through the program, authors that publish with Infinity are able to plant 100 trees for the title they publish. These authors also have the option to add a special "100 trees planted for this book" logo to their book's design, as a way to showcase their commitment to environmental sustainability.

What Tiny Cracker Zoo is about? Truth, some believe, is stranger than fiction—even well-written pulp fiction featuring ridiculous man-sized outhouse leeches or a homicidal, incestuous hillbilly clan. However, as a recent television series so cleverly proved, the search for truth can be a more fascinating journey. With this in mind, I’ve compiled these short stories chronicling the droll occurrences of my formative years in bucolic Pennsyltucky. These deliciously embarrassing experiences embody just a few of my attempts at developing a resistance to the subtle tickle of detachment I felt between myself and virtually every denizen of my simple rural community.

About the author:
Despite enduring many years within the numbingly blissful cocoon of Pennsyltucky, I now run Infinity Publishing’s cover design division. When not obsessing about the television show “Lost,” I sit in front of my computer trying to transcribe my memories though I inevitably get distracted by my feverish zeal for toy robots in disguise. In spite of this torrid love affair with my abundant collection of shape-shifting Transformers, I have been blissfully married to my beautiful, patient, and vastly smarter wife Marianne for over 3 years. We have two cats who are also smarter than I am.

The Last Original Idea is joining the "100 Trees Project" of Infinity Publishing and Eco-Libris

Last June we told you about our new collaboration with Infinity Publishing, a leading self-publishing company. Infinity launched with Eco-Libris the "100 Trees Project,"a new program to promote environmental sustainability among its authors.

Through the program, authors that publish with Infinity will be able to plant 100 trees for the title they publish. These authors will also have the option to add a special "100 trees planted for this book" logo to their book's design, as a way to showcase their commitment to environmental sustainability.

Today we're happy to update you about one of the latest books that joined the program - The Last Original Idea by Alan K'necht and Geri Rockstein. 100 trees will be planted for this book with Eco-Libris and you can also find our logo on the back cover of the book (see photo below).

What's this book about? Here's a description from its website:

The Last Original Idea – A Cynics View of Internet Marketing is a light hearted look at the state of Internet marketing today and traces back each of the elements to its historical roots, clearly demonstrating that companies who understood the mistakes of the past were able to be profitable in the present. Others are a mere memory, lost in cyber-space.

"Wisdom is about context. The Last Original Idea is a chronicle of communication and commerce as seen through the lens of the Internet. It is a must-have reference book for marketing people - if only to get a handle on all of those allusions you've heard, but can't quite place. This book puts the whole Internet phenomenon into perspective, takes the Gee-Whiz right out of it and leaves you with a view point tempered by time and seasoned with history. Just the thing for those who are rightfully fearful of repeating history." - Jim Sterne, Founder of the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit and the Web Analytics Association

About the authors: The Last Original Idea is the brain child of Alan K'necht who co-wrote it with Geri Rockstein. So after years of ideas floating through his head, K'necht with the help of Rockstein put his ideas to paper. The end product is this entertaining book.

"The Last Original Idea" as of October 16, 2010 is available (softcover) only from Buy Books On The Web. The authors anticipate it being available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Nobel by November 5, 2010. The ebook version should be available for most popular ereaders before the end of November.

Infinity partners with Eco-Libris to launch the first green program for self-publishing authors

We are happy to announce a new collaboration with Infinity Publishing, a leading self-publishing company. Infinity is launching this week with Eco-Libris the "100 Trees Project,"a new program to promote environmental sustainability among its authors.

Pioneer in author-originated book publishing, Infinity is also leading the way when it comes to going green by becoming the first company in the self-publishing category to make available to its authors a program of this nature!

Through the program, authors that publish with Infinity will be able to plant 100 trees for the title they publish. These authors will also have the option to add a special "100 trees planted for this book" logo to their book's design, as a way to showcase their commitment to environmental sustainability.

Infinity also announced that it kicks off the project by funding the planting of 1,000 trees! These trees will be planted by our planting partners in developing countries, where they provide significant value for both the environment and the local communities (as you could read this week on our report from Guatemala).

Founded in 1997, Infinity Publishing revolutionized the category of self-publishing by providing "author-originated book publishing" services for authors. Infinity now has more than 4,000 active authors who have collectively published more than 6,000 titles with the company. For more information , www.infinitypublishing.com.

This program is the first in a series of programs to be launched by Infinity that are designed to "give back" by making contributions to important causes related to the book publishing industry.

More details on the new partnership can be found on this press release.

Raz @ Eco-Libris
